Welcome to the 3rd Annual Rtalon235 Open Invitational Contest!!!!!


Considering how I tend to do things in 3's, I've decided to make this 3rd annual contest like no other... and that includes making it a 3 tier contest, with 3 judges for each tier, and my own judging only being considered for the overall grand prize. Here's how it's going to break down:

1st tier - Artwork. Mediums of any kind.

2nd tier - Written Work. Stories, poems, etc.

3rd tier - Photography, video, audio, Misc. Anything that doesn't fit into the first or second tier.


The Contest Concept

The emotion called DESIRE.

Is it the first kiss between lovers? The solitary figure gazing at the starlit sky? Needing a shoulder to cry on? Or does desire mean something else to you? If so, here's your chance to show it, and grab some decent swag in the process!

Using your artistic skills of any medium, with your OCs, my OCs, photographic images, and so on, simply show me what desire means to you.



THE RULES


1. The contest begins on my birthday, March 27th. Entries can be submitted before then, but will not be posted until the start date. The final day for entries will be midnight on May 22nd, with the winners announced on June 1st.

2. Any and every medium is accepted, including stories, poems, audio, video, etc.

3. "Fan" pieces of commercial work in any form are NOT allowed.

4. Collaborations are allowed

5. Any work that contains my OCs must remain true to them or your entry will be disqualified and you will be asked to remove it. If you want to use Viper, fine... but remember that when it comes to intimacy, that is restricted to =t3h3r3ee 's OC named Cri, and that requires her permission. Put Viper with anyone else in an intimate setting, and it's disqualified. When in doubt, don't hesitate to ask.

6. Other than the listed limitations concerning my OCs, ANYTHING is fair game.

7. As the contest holder, I reserve the right to post the Grand Prize winning entry in my deviations for promotional purposes only.

8. Any entries with my OCs as part of it CANNOT be used for profit or commercial use without my express written consent.

THE JUDGING

Quite easy and painless really. There are 3 judges in total per tier. I might use DA members, I might not. If I do, their names will NOT be announced, nor will they be allowed to participate in the tier they are judging. No favorites when it comes to my contests, and that includes any judging by popular vote. The only way I would even consider that is in the event of a deadlock.

For the overall grand prize judging, there will be 3 judges in total including myself. Again, the remaining two will remain nameless until the winner is announced.

The judging decisions are FINAL




THE BOOTY ( pending additional items of course )


Grand Prize: A 2 year subscription to DA or 60.00 cash. IF the total number of entries exceeds 72 for this contest, I will add a signed Joe Jusko original sketch of your choice ( 100.00 value ) to the grand prize. Single character, full body, and normally only available if you catch him at a convention and he has the time.


3 - 1st place prizes: A 1 year subscription to DA or 30.00 cash

3 - 2nd place prizes: A 6 month subscription to DA or 15.00 cash
